Unfortunately, the Powerdown to Go Greener project in Barrhead, Eaglesham and Waterfoot did not receive continuation funding from the Scottish Government Climate Challenge Fund and closed on 31st March 2011.

This highly successful project, run by East Renfrewshire Community Enterprise Trust, provided information on renewable technologies and how to reduce energy use in the home. Between April 2010 and March 2011, over 9700 households received information; 700 households completed a detailed Home Energy Check and were supported with advice and practical measures to reduce energy use. As a result of all activities, CO2 emissions were reduced by an amazing 1200 tonnes per annum!!
